Kinross-shire Volunteer Drivers (formerly
The Kinross-shire Volunteer Group and Rural Outreach Scheme) has
for many years been providing a volunteer driver service for residents
of the Kinross-shire and Glenfarg area. This
enables clients to attend hospital, health centre and other health
related appointments such as the podiatrist or dentist.This can
be within Tayside but also outwith the region taking clients to
appointments in Edinburgh or Stirling for example. This is a door
to door service with drivers providing assistance where necessary.
We can also provide support with local shopping and other social
requests to help reduce social isolation and support mental health
and well being. This might include visits to the hair dresser,
clubs or other social events.
Our charges
are dependent on destination.
To
make enquiries or book a driver, please call and speak to one
of our administrators. The office is open between the hours of
9.00am and 5.30pm with the answerphone always switched on.
